NEW DELHI, —A Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee delegation, led by DPCC President Shri Devender Yadav, met Commissioner of Police Shri Sanjay Arora, at the Delhi Police Headquarters, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi today, and brought to his notice that he and a team of lawyers went to the Tughlak Road Police Station on May 4, 2024 to lodge a complaint against the BJP leaders, their supporters and unknown individuals, for spreading “fake and distorted news” in the social media against the Congress “to mislead, incite, provoke the public and create enemity between groups” in view of the Lok Sabha elections. He demanded that an FIR should be filed against them and a probe initiated to catch the culprits, but they were made to wait for over two hours at the Tughlak Road Police station before accepting their complaint.
Besides Shri Devender Yadav, the Congress delegation consisted of All India Congress Committee Media and Publicity Chairman Shri Pawan Khera, Social Media Chairperson Ms. Supriya Shrinate, former DPCC presidents Shri Subhash Chopra and Shri Anil Choudhary, AICC secretary Shri Abhishek Dutt, Chairman of the DPCC Communications Department Shri Anil Bhardwaj, ex-MLA Shri Hassan Ahmed, Legal and Human Resources Department chairman Advocate Sunil Kumar, Shri Anoop Shokeen and Shri Abdul Wahid Qureshi.
Shri Devender Yadav gave a detailed account of his bitter experience at the Tughlak Road Police Station, and demanded that the police should be directed to file an FIR forthwith to catch the culprits without wasting any time. Giving an example, Shri Devender Yadav told the Commissioner of Police that an edited video of Shri Rahul Gandhi was being circulated with mischievous intent to discredit Congress and create confusion among the SC/ST/OBC and Minorities to create an impression that Shri Rahul Gandhi had spoken only about the minorities. He demanded that the objectionable and mischievous posts should be deleted from the social media public platforms and action taken against the culprits. Shri Devender Yadav said that on the one hand, police supports the BJP and takes suo moto action on posts against it, and on the other hand, Congress leaders are made to wait for hours when they approach the police to file a complaint against the BJP.
Shri Devender Yadav, in his complaint to the police, had pointed out that objectionable videograph contents were being uploaded in the social media against the Congress to mislead the voters, and create confusion in their minds, and these videos, uploaded by the BJP leaders and their supporters, were available on the social media platforms.

“Kaam Kiya Hai, Kaam Karenge” will be the slogan of my election campaign for the North West Delhi Lok Sabha election—Dr Udit Raj
NEW DELHI, —Congress candidate of INDIA Alliance for the North West Delhi Lok Sabha Dr. Udit Raj, while addressing a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today, said that he was seeking votes from the residents of North West Delhi on the basis of the works he had done when he represented the constituency in Parliament from from 2014-2019, when he tried his best to bring all- round development in the area. He said that many big schemes were also approved for the development of the area when he demitted office, but the BJP MP who successes him to represent North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency in Parliament, set the clock back by not only stalling all development works, but also deliberately not starting works on the projects which had been given sanction when he was an MP.
Dr Udit Raj said that Hans Raj Hans, who represented North West Delhi in the Lok Sabha after him, could not even start many of the schemes that had been sanctioned, though the votes were sought by Hans in the name of Modi and yet again, the BJP candidate was seeking votes in the name of Modi. He said that if the BJP candidate wins, the same mistake will be repeated with the new MP failing to get any development works going. He said that the BJP MPs had no report card to show in their favour as they did not do any work in the past 10 years, and that was the reason BJP was forced to change six of their seven sitting MPs this time too. He said that the people of Delhi now seek change due to the inaction and incompetence of the BJP MPs who squandered their five years in Parliament without doing anything for Delhiites. He said that as soon as the INDIA Alliance Government was formed at the Centre, Congress will fulfill its promises for the poor, labour, marginalized, youth, women, aged and the middle class as they have gone through unbearable suffering under the BJP Government. He said that the alert voters of Delhi have fully understood the lies and falsehood of the BJP, and the coming Lok Sabha election will witness people inflict a numbing blow on the BJP to help INDI(A Alliance sweep all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.
