The
General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union
Minister, former President of Haryana Congress, and Incharge of
Uttarakhand, and the Congress (India Alliance) candidate from the Sirsa
Lok Sabha seat,
Kumari Selja said that the BJP government has
deceived the entire country with wrong policies. The Modi government has
forced every section of people to despair. However, times are changing,
and people in the country also want change; in a democracy, the voter
has significant power. There is a tremendous wave of Congress throughout
the country, and people have made up their minds to show the Modi
government the exit through the power of their vote.

Kumari Selja
made these remarks while visiting several villages in the Ratia
Assembly constituency on Sunday and appealing for votes. Addressing a
public meeting in Bhirdana village, she said that in democracy, no
person is small, everyone's voice is equal. She said that the BJP's
ten-year rule has pushed the country backwards. Farmers, unemployed,
village heads, Anganwadi workers, and employees are all fighting for
their rights on the streets. But this government, blinded by arrogance,
sees nothing. She said that just as people have lovingly preserved the
letters of her father Chaudhary Dalbir Singh, she vows to nurture every
dream of theirs with the same dedication. This is the time to strengthen
the hand of Congress and strengthen the country. She has said that the
BJP has deceived the people of the country the most. She declared that
not only Sirsa but the entire country is ready for change, and change
will come.
She said that the voters are merely waiting for the
election to bid farewell to this anti-people government. There is a
tremendous wave of Congress across the country. Discussing the current
plight of the farmers, Kumari Selja said that farmers are being
oppressed the most today and wish to raise their voices but are being
silenced with sticks and beatings. So far, the MSP has not been
implemented, but the Congress government will implement the MSP law upon
coming to power. The Bjp government has been deceiving the farmers. The
BJP government has no right to be called pro-farmer. Since the Bjp
government came to power, the exploitation of farmers has been severe.
She said that the farmers' agitation is ringing the alarm bell of a deep
crisis in the agricultural sector. The response of the BJP/NDA
government has been insensitive and cruel. Farmers do not receive a fair
and profitable price for their produce; nor do producers have adequate
means to market their produce. Export controls have weakened the
farmers. The plight of agricultural laborers is even worse; job
availability is irregular, and wages have been stagnant for nearly four
years. Congress is the only party that has paid attention to the cry of
distress of the farmers and agricultural laborers and is committed to
alleviating their pain and making agriculture an attractive livelihood.
On this occasion, former minister Attar Singh Saini, former MLA Jarnail
Singh, former MLA Risal Singh, former MLA Rajpal Singh Bhukhadi, Jaipal
Singh Lali, Mangat Ram Lalwas , and Surendra Vartia were present.
